KAB Viewer enables the user to review and interact with the contents of a KAB file. It allows users to review images, decipher JSON data, and even extract specific or all the files when needed. This can be helpful when reviewing manifests or troubleshooting machines in the field.

Access KAB viewer

1. Login to KOS Studio.
2. Select Tools from the top navigation bar.
3. From the tools dropdown, select KAB Viewer.

View the contents of the KAB file

1. Login to KOS Studio.
2. Select Tools from the top navigation bar.
3. From the tools dropdown, select KAB Viewer.
4. The tool viewer opens in a new window.
5. KAB viewer displays a file picker window that lets users navigate and choose the KAB to view. Alternatively, you can paste the path to the KAB file to navigate.
6. Once KAB is selected, the tool displays the content of the KAB for browsing.

Extract KAB file contents

1. Login to KOS Studio.
2. Select Tools from the top navigation bar.
3. From the tools dropdown, select KAB Viewer.
4. The application opens in a new window.
5. Select a KAB file using a file picker to view its content.
6. To extract a file’s content, click the extract button at the right end of the file path.
7. This will open a file picker window. Select a desired location for extracting the contents of the KAB file, and Click on Extract.
8. This operation extracts the file’s content and places it in the desired location.
